Shoaib Akhtar tweeted a photo with Sachin Tendulkar, so that he can recover quickly.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar tweeted an old photo with Sachin Tendulkar in which he wished Indian cricketer Kovid to get well soon. Akhtar took to Twitter to post a picture of him and the legendary Tendulkar during the Australia-India-Pakistan tri-series in 1999–2000, saying that Sachin was one of his favorite rivals on the field.

Sachin tested positive for Kovid-19 a few days ago and is currently in domestic quarantine with mild symptoms.

Tendulkar had tweeted, I am testing myself and taking all recommended precautions to ensure Kovid. However, I have tested positive after mild symptoms.

Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar have had many memorable battles over the years. It all started when Pakistan was rated as one of the fast bowlers who bowled Sachin clean for the Duck during the 1999 Test match in Kolkata.

The former India captain took a sweet revenge during the ODI World Cup match against Pakistan in Centurion in 2003 when he hit Akhtar for a six, which is still fresh in the memories of Indian cricket fans.

Sachin has played 9 Test matches against Pakistan, in which Shoaib was part of the playing XI, he has scored 416 runs at an average of 41.60. Akhtar dismissed him three times in Test cricket.

Tendulkar has scored 864 runs in 19 ODIs played for Pakistan with Akhtar at an average of 45.47 and a strike rate of 90.18. Akhtar has bowled Tendulkar five times in ODIs.

Meanwhile, Sachin was not the only famous Indian cricketer to test positive for Kovid-19. Shortly after his announcement, former India cricketers Yusuf Pathan, Subramanian Badrinath and Irfan Pathan confirmed on Twitter that they too tested positive.

In particular, Tendulkar, Pathan Bandhu and Badrinath were part of the India Legends team that won the Road Safety World Series in Raipur.
