SachinTendulkar hit fifty, Yuvraj Singh scored 49 off 20 balls.

Road Safety is the first finalist of the World Series T20. The Sachin Tendulkar-led India giants have qualified for the final of the competition after a commanding win over the West Indies Legends at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh were the stars of the show with the bat as they hit the legendary West Indies bowlers throughout the park. India scored a total of 218 runs thanks to Tendulkar’s half-century and Yuvraj’s 20-ball 49. The West Indies giants were too much to chase as they could only manage 206 for 6 wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

Needing 24 runs in 12 balls, Indian seamers R Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan bowled openly for their victory.

Vinay Kumar took two wickets in the 18th over with captain Brian Lara (46) and Tino Best who brought him back into the game.

Earlier, Dwayne Smith (63) and Narsingh Deonarine (59 not out) lost half-centuries as the Windies were eliminated from the tournament.

The batting performance of the Indian giants gave them a target of 200 runs in the second match in a row, after the West Indies batting in the beauty of the batting in the first batting.

Tendulkar’s half-century and Yuvraj’s amusement included an unbeaten 49 off 20 balls, which included six sixes and four in 20 overs as India were 218 for three.

Apart from the crucial knock of Tendulkar and Yaraj, Sehwag (35), Yusuf Pathan (37) and Mohammad Kaif (27) also contributed with the bat.

India were ready to launch an attack on Sehwag’s ball, with left-arm spinner Suleman Benn bowling it through cover.

This was no stop for Sehwag who was in an attacking mood while Tendulkar took his time.

Sehwag did not spare the bowlers when they were in his area. The two formed a half-century partnership for the opening wicket before Sehwag forced a return catch to seamer Tino Best.

Later, released from the last game, Tendulkar scored another half-century. He had a 53-run partnership with Kaif before being dismissed by Ryan Austin later.

For a century, Tendulkar snatched the best delivery of Best, which went to Kirk Edwards, who came up with a superb effort at the deepest point.

Yuvraj and Yusuf later destroyed the Windies attack in the death overs with some big hits.

The stylish south-paw struck six sixes in the final two overs. In the 19th over, Yuvraj hit leg-spinner Mahendra Nagamuto for four boundaries over the rope, while the next two came from Sulaiman Benn.

Despite those big hits, Yuvraj was out for 49 not out. But India were comfortably dismissed for 218 for 3 in 20 overs.
