The 50% capacity of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be used for the India vs England T20I series, announced the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) ahead of the first T20I on Friday.
We are going to use only 50% of the seating capacity at the Narendra Modi Stadium for all T20 International matches to be held here due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. Up to 50% tickets will be issued for these matches on online and offline ticketing platforms, Mr. Dhanraj Nathwani, Vice President, Gujarat Cricket Association.
All five T20 matches of the series will be played on March 20, with the last match.
All Kovid-19 related precautions have been taken and all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed.
The entire stadium has been cleaned keeping in view the safety of the spectators. All KOVID-19 guidelines are being followed strictly and Special Task Force Committees have been formed to implement and follow all necessary security measures.
The last two matches of the four-match Test series were also played at the same venue. India ended the win on both occasions. The first T20I will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday.
