Actor Dilip Joshi has written an emotional message on the death of actor Amit Mistry, with social media posts they had worked on together over a decade ago. The actor of the Bandish Bandits died of cardiac arrest on Friday, his manager said.
Dilip posted pictures of himself from Amit and Sumit Raghavan from the time they worked together in a TV show called Shubh Mangal Savdhan (2004). He wrote, “Our trio is broken today. But the memories will always be with me. I will recollect Amit and his wise memories more than I can say. He was a lovely man, a treat to work with and a pleasure to watch in action. I thought I would write something like that for him. May his soul receive salvation, and may God give us the power to deal with a great loss.
Earlier in the day, Pankaj Tripathi said, this is extremely sad news. We were working on a scene only last month. He left so soon. This is not a proper god. It is a difficult time. Farewell Amit. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, This is terrible. Really awful.
Amit, 47, was with his mother at his residence in Andheri, Mumbai, when he breathed his last at around 9.30 am. A PTI report quoted the actor’s manager Mahesh Desai as saying, he woke up, had breakfast and even exercised before cardiac arrest. He was fit and fine. Amit had no medical condition. This is absolutely shocking news.
Amit was a popular Gujarati and Hindi film actor known for films such as Shore in the City, Be Yaar and the Amazon Prime video series Bandish Bandits. He also acted in the popular TV shows Tenali Rama and Seshash Koi Hai.
