Sharing a note about her diagnosis on 2 April, Alia wrote, Hello everyone, I have tested positive for Kovid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under domestic quarantine. I follow all security protocols under my advice. Doctors. Thankful for all your love and support. Please be safe and take care.
Prior to that, Alia’s boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, also tested positive for coronovirus. After he recovers, he is seen venturing out for work and meetings in Mumbai.
Talking about Alia’s health, her mother Soni Razdan told a leading daily, I am in touch with her, it is just that I try not to call her many times. In the last few days, I have called him in the morning to check. I don’t want to burden him with constant calls, because if I keep doing this, it will stress him. I sent him a message about what he should eat, which is simple and light food. Therefore, she is now doing layoffs as far as her food is concerned.
Sony also tweeted that because the actors’ work does not allow them to wear masks or other protective gear, they should be allowed to take vaccines early.
Alia was working on her films Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli’s RRR when she approached the virus.
